Android failWell, if failing to fully support their operating system  like they’ve promised us wasn’t enough sabotage, apparently the Nexus One’s hardware is starting to fail.  First, the screens are already starting to develop cracks in them after only months of having been released.  Upon inspection, apparently these cracks are a result of wear and tear from pressing buttons and (get this) being put in people’s pockets.  The representative actually said "people sometimes forget that they don't go in pockets."  Maybe companies sometimes forget that they DO go in pockets.  Only half of us have purses to carry our phones around in thank you very much.

don't be evilGoogle Voice:  This app, and all future iterations from it, have been banned from the iPhone.  This fact alone should make it clear that something special is going on here.  If you already have contacts on Google then Google Voice is almost as good as calling them, and better in some ways. Now this app is available on Nexus One.

Sony 3dtvWorking under the assumption that 3D television is indeed going to be a luxury reserved only for the elite early adapters for the next few years, SONY, as opposed to Philips appears to be making some of the stronger choices.  As you can see in the video below, they have foregone the glasses free version in favor of the classic polarized glasses.  However, it seems that whatever development funds and efforts would have been put into supporting the lenticular lens technology has been directed into aesthetics, content support, and 3D gaming support.

3D TVWill it sell? Experts seem to be voicing their opinions at CES 2010. Many claim that 3D television sets will change the way we approach in home entertainment but others beg to differ. Industry analysts like Mike Schuster claim that there simply won’t be enough support from the middle, or even upper middle class, to make three dimensional personal entertainments widespread.

Casio USA launched a new service called Animate and Share yesterday 12/14/2009. We decided to try out this new service and make some holiday greeting cards ourselves. The service allows customers/users to create animated greeting cards by using their personal photographs. This service comes right in time for the holiday season. It uses fun and funky graphics to allow users to create great animated Christmas cards.  Designing Christmas greetings has never been more fun. If you like taking pictures and love animating them, this is the site for you.

The site introduces users to a new virtual experience of creating Dynamic greeting cards. The site allows users to share greeting cards via email and Facebook. Unlike other sites, the cards are personal to each individual and allow for experimentation with the medium. Previously this technique (the green screen effect) has been used in Hollywood movies to create some mesmerizing effects. Now, Casio are offering it to users to develop their own Dynamic Graphics. The site is compatible with Casios Exilim camera range.
