For over 50 years Communication Arts has been publishing the best in visual communications from across the globe. To date it is the largest creative magazine in the world in highlighting graphic design, advertising, illustration, photography and interactive design. Entries after the March 26th deadline will be accepted for an additional fee, with the final cutoff to be April 9th. Each year Communication Arts has six competitions that include all aspects of visual communications.
The Smithsonian Magazine has announced the 50 finalists for their 7th Annual Photo Contest. The top 10 photos were chosen from these five categories: Altered Images, Americana, The Natural World, People and Travel. Entries began pouring in around this time last year, and were cut off December 1, 2009. To qualify, photographs must have been shot within the past three years. Category winners are expected to be announced over the next few months.

We feel that the judges should have checked properly before they made their decision and we sympathize with the photographer. Every year the UK National History Museum organizes the National History Museum Wild Life Photographer of the Year award every year. The winner of the Contest is awarded 10,000 GBP approximately $16,600. This years contest had 43,000 entries and the photograph of the wolf jumping over the fence won!!! No doubt the photograph is incredible. I mean it's not everyday that one sees a wolf jumping over the fence. Recently, the judges found out the photograph is a fake and want to revoke the award from Photographer Jose Luis Rodriguez.

Justin Kraemer!!! Yes, ladies and gentlemen Seattle based photographer Justin Kraemer won the 2009 Bing Home Sweet Home Photo contest. Bing released the name of the winner last night. Justin is an aspiring photographer based in Seattle, Washington. He likes shooting landscapes and cities. And he has recently become very fond of HDR photography. His amazing photograph of the Seattle skyline won the most user votes in the 2009 contest and will be put up on the Bing Homepage on January 6th 2010.

Bing is giving photographers the chance to get their photographs showcased on their homepage. Bing's Home Sweet Homepage Contest was launched on Facebook today. This is the second time that Bing have launched the competition this year. Starting today Bing's Sweet Homepage competition is accepting entries.
The first competition took place in August 2009 and there were 9400 entries. Australia's Jeremy Somers was the winner and his photo of Sydney's cityscape was published on the Bing homepage.
