And by closer to home, I mean to the United States. As I mentioned previously, CURB is the world's first natural media company. They are located in London, though many of their services are available anywhere in the world. Some of their media offerings, however, are only available in Europe or the United Kingdom. Luckily, there is a similar option right here in the good ol' USofA, called Element Six Media. Element Six has some similar offerings to CURB, but there are some that also make them stand out.
Last month, astronaut T.J. Creamer made history by sending the first live tweet from space, boasting "We r now LIVE tweeting from the International Space Station -- the 1st live tweet from Space!" Previously, NASA astronauts have sent tweets from space, but they first needed to be sent to mission control who would then post them for followers. This month, as NASA prepares for the February 7th launch of Endeavour, they are asking the public to get involved. NASA is planning a live question/answer session with the astronauts of Endeavour on February 11th via Twitter.
After reading Greg's article yesterday, I spent the entire night looking at photographs of the Haiti Earthquake. I am originally from Pakistan and on 8th October 2005 Pakistan was hit by a massive earthquake too. I had never experienced anything like that before. My city, Lahore wasn't affected by the earthquake as badly as the Northern parts of Pakistan were. I was an undergraduate student then and experiencing it first hand, we all (students) got together and put a camp for the victims, we collected food, blankets, medicines, supplies and took them to the various hospitals.
