Cell phone photography is on a rampage... and a good one at that. Canon has released an iPhone app that lends a new air of legitimacy to cell phone photos and promotes their new wireless printers at the same time.
The Canon Easy-PhotoPrint app allows iPhone users to print wirelessly from their cellphones. The catch is that you have to use Canon's Pixma wireless printers.
So how about these printers? Are they worth it? Well, reviewers are impressed with the printers' excellent image quality and a great bundle of features. The word on the street, however, is that they are ink-o-holics so be ready to spend your left kidney on cartridges.
As if as a consultation for the steep ink costs, the iPhone app is free and looks like a rather usefull little tool. Easy-PhotoPrint lets you select from six paper sizes and can queue up to 20 photos at a time.
This all adds up to spy tool, party toy or Grandchild bragging device. I mean, just think... I could snap photos of your secret briefcase drop and have them printed and ready to mail to the feds by the time I got home. Pretty sweet!
