The results are in, and it looks like professional photographers are flocking to Adobe's Lightroom more than ever before. Are you using it?
A recent study by InfoTrends found that pro photographers choose Lightroom over Aperture 4 to 1. This is up from 2 to 1 in 2007. So why is the professional community warming to Lightroom? One reason may be that some digital photographers maintain a nostalgia for their darkrooms.
For those of you that are new to Lightroom, I suggest downloading the free trial and giving it a spin. In version 2.5, this software includes a slew of import and export tools, including 64-bit support and batch processing. Lightroom also features a number of robust editing tools like the local adjustment brush and nondestructive photo adjustment. What's more, it's integration with the Creative Suites family is definitely a plus.
So if your current editing program is producing more headaches than beautiful pictures, you should give Lightroom a try. Adobe describes the software as ideal for both professional and passionate photographers. Sounds just like the Amvona population to me!
